The UbiqVue Biosensor is a single-use, chest-worn Holter monitor for the continuous collection of high-quality ECG data. The Biosensor securely stores your ECG data internally throughout the monitoring period. At the end of the procedure, the data will be recovered from the Biosensor, analyzed, and a report sent to your physician.
Yes, you can shower while wearing the Biosensor. Keep showers brief and avoid exposing the Biosensor directly to the water stream. Stand with your back to the shower and gently pat the Biosensor dry if it gets wet.

To help the Biosensor stay firmly in place, press down the edges of the Biosensor firmly with your fingers at least twice a day.

Yes, you can continue normal daily activities. However, avoid intense exercise or heavy sweating, as this may affect how well the Biosensor sticks to your skin and how it works.
Mild itching or redness can be normal. However, if you develop significant irritation, discomfort, or symptoms of an allergic reaction, remove the Biosensor and contact your healthcare provider.
If you experience symptoms like dizziness, palpitations, or shortness of breath, press the button on the Biosensor. Then, if instructed by your healthcare provider, record your symptoms and activity level in the Holter Diary leaflet.
Yes, you can travel while wearing the Biosensor. If you are stopped or questioned during security screening, you may present the Travel Notice available here.
Avoid sleeping on your stomach, applying lotions or soaps near the Biosensor, and engaging in activities that may expose it to excessive moisture. Do not wear the Biosensor during an MRI scan or in environments with strong electromagnetic fields.
Your Healthcare provider will let you know how long to wear the Biosensor. At the end of the procedure, the green LED light will stop flashing. Once it does, remove the Biosensor and return to your clinical facility as instructed.
If you have any questions about the Biosensor or your Holter procedure, please contact your healthcare provider.
